The interpretation of bank refinancing is considered, the transmission mechanism of economic regulation and various channels of money emission are studied. The peculiarities of bank refinancing in the context of increasing globalization processes are determined; the essence, elements and evolution of the mechanism of bank refinancing in Ukraine are revealed. The mechanism of bank refinancing by the lender of last resort is analyzed, key problems are identified and ways to solve them are proposed. The experience of refinancing banks by central banks of foreign countries is highlighted. Recommendations for improving the refinancing mechanism of Ukrainian banks are substantiated.
