The necessity for the provision of healthcare services via remote means was highlighted. It is anticipated that the number of individuals preferred online consultations with medical staff will reach 130 million by 2028. The article reviews the development of telemedicine depending on the economic, sociocultural and technological factors of countries with different degrees of income and overall development. Adaptation and adoption of legislative changes in countries that regulate the medical field and telemedicine may open new opportunities for managing and financing telemedicine services for population. It was determined that successful itnroduction of telemedicine relies on economic development, sociocultural readiness, and wide access to technologies. Altogether they determine the credibility of puting in innovations in medicine.
