The article describes the procedure for customs examination of mineral fertilizers, their features and classification are analyzed. Research criteria, methods and tools based on state standards have been developed. Customs examination of mineral fertilizer samples was carried out and UCGFEA code was determined. The legal component of the classification was studied and the need to correctly define the UCGFEA code for imported goods mineral fertilizers.
